Friday Five: 5 Budget Friendly Cold Holiday Fitness Gifts

One of my "blends" Cynthia from You Signed Up For What host a Friday Five Link up every week with Courtney from Eat Pray Run, DC, and Mar from Mar on the Run so I thought I would join in this week with five of my favorite budget friendly fitness gifts for the cold holidays.
And YES, if your wondering that is me and my girls at the Santa Run in Baton Rouge 2 years ago. Couldn't resist not using it. If your ever in Baton Rouge on the weekend of the Santa parade, you should def join in on the pre parade race fun. You head the parade with a 2 mile run down the parade route lined with tons of people. It was so much fun and the best part is the Santa Suit is included AND they have hot chocolate at the finish, SCORE!

Anyways back to my Friday Fives...

1. Swiftwick Socks (www.swiftwick.com) $12.99-$24.99

These are hands down my favorite socks in the world. If there is one thing that every active person needs is a good pair of socks. The wicking and compression of Swiftwick socks is hands down the best on the market. Since starting to wear Swiftwick in 2012,  I have not had a single blister on my feet. The sock we are wearing in the above picture at the Color Run in New Orleans are the white Aspire 12. Full compression from the toe to the knee and super comfortable. You can check out all the different socks Swiftwick offers at www.swiftwick.com.

 2. Koss headphones (www.koss.com) $9.99-$29.99
I have been using the Koss FlexFit Fit Clips for the past year, and they are amazing. I have not had to adjust them on my runs or rides at all. They also have yet to fall off while I attempt to do yoga. I will say they are not as loud as the previous headphones I have used, but are definitely more comfortable and fit better. For safety reasons you don't need them to be very loud anyways, so that part doesn't bother me. Even though they say For Woman, my husband loves them. He has smaller ears and he keeps trying to steal mine.

3. Headsweats visors (www.headsweats.com) $5-$20
Right now at www.Headsweats.com they are offering $5 grab bag visors. These are the best visors for catching sweat and they are not heavy on your head. Here are the details...

"Having a hard time making a decision? Let us at Headsweats make it for you. Roll the dice and get a random visor from our collection. The visor you receive will have a logo on it, either from a racing event, team, or brand.
*If you're looking for a particular color or hat style, you can make a request in the customer notes when checking out and we'll do our best to fulfill it. Grab bag items are not part of our current inventory and does not include any new arrivals. Grab bag pricing can not be combined with discount codes - ALL SALES FINAL!"

This is a great way to check out an amazing visor for running and have a little fun guessing what they might send you all for $5.

4. Powder Kegs (www.powderkegsusa.com) $12.99
I absolutely love this thing. Its a stackable cup system that will hold anything from protein powder to on the go snacks. You can take 1 cup or keep stacking them for the day. I have used this thing all over the country when I have traveled. Its perfect for the gym, work, or travel. It is available in red or pink.

5. Fat to Fit Cookbook by Cindy Lane Ross (www.amazon.com) $31.46
My Fat to Fit radio cohost Cindy Lane Ross wrote this AMAZING cookbook. Its full of healthy, easy to cook recipes that are delicious. What I like most is that there is a picture for every recipe and nutrition facts. Its a must have for all the chefs in your household.

From Cindy herself...
"Nutrition and healthy eating can be intimidating and overwhelming. When writing this book, I wanted to help people make an easy transition for a healthier lifestyle change. Lots of healthy recipes and nutrition tips for the whole family! This book is volume one of the series Fat to Fit. I break it down very simple with easy to follow recipes. This book is about the battle of the bulge, after fighting my own weight issues and dealing with Rheumatoid Arthritis, I feel it's necessary to eat the right foods for a good quality of life!"

You can order it on Amazon HERE!

These are just 5 examples of some of my favorite fitness items that don't break the bank. There are always plenty of things you can buy for all the healthy people in your life. Remember its the thought of the gift not the amount of money you spend. If your an a super tight budget you can always make a healthy treat like my chocodate brownies and wrap them for a sweet treat for coworkers, teachers, and friends.

So I am linking this up on the ladies blogs mentioned above and I hope you will go check them out.
